• Blackstone (NYSE:BX) is reportedly buying Tropical Smoothie Cafe from Levine Leichtman Capital Partners for $2B including debt, according to The Wall Street Journal.
• The deal is expected to be announced Thursday.
• Atlanta-based Tropical Smoothie Cafe has over 1,400 operations in 44 U.S. states.
• On the company’s most recent earnings call, Blackstone President and COO Jon Gray said “the recovery will not be a straight line but we’re not waiting for the all-clear sign to invest. We deployed $25B in the first quarter and committed an additional $15M to pending deals.”
