欧特克受益于虚拟设计和构建:贝尔德

2024-08-13 04:16

Autodesk (NASDAQ:ADSK), a software platform for 3D design, engineering, architecture and entertainment, benefits from the virtual design and construction mindset, according to the analysts at Baird.

Baird attended the 2024 Technology Conference hosted by the Associated General Contractors of America in Chicago last week. Although Procore (PCOR) remained the most utilized software platform in project management, they found Autodesk was producing a lot of positive feedback through its cloud offerings.

"Virtual design and construction is a special approach that analyzes construction planning/decisions in a modeling framework before physical work begins," said Baird analysts Joe Vruwink and Peter Karos, in an investor note. "To do this, BIM (building information modeling) personnel need to understand drawings at the fabrication level. We find that Procore is still the most popular software with those in the field, however organizations that view VDC as driving activity will often cast a kind eye on Autodesk."

Baird found that 27% of construction companies utilize the project management platform offered by Procore. Autodesk Construction Cloud accounted for 17%.

"Overall, Procore still factors most prominently in project management, though we come away incrementally constructive on Autodesk given feedback/adoption around newer cloud offerings," Vruwink added.

Baird also reported it was surprised by the limited mentions of Oracle (ORCL) at this year's event.

Autodesk has an Outperform rating from Baird.

It has a Hold rating by Seeking Alpha analysts, but a Buy rating from Wall Street analysts. It has a Hold rating from Seeking Alpha's Quant system, which regularly beats the market.
