Stryker收购疼痛治疗开发商Vertos Medical

- MedTech giant Stryker (NYSE:SYK) announced Thursday an agreement to acquire Vertos Medical, a privately held pain therapy developer headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California.
- Founded in 2005, Vertos offers Mild, a minimally invasive outpatient procedure designed to treat chronic lower back pain caused by lumbar spinal stenosis.
- The treatment nationally covered by Medicare has been validated in clinical trials. It offers pain relief without implants, general anesthesia, or stitches, using only a tiny incision.
- “This acquisition strengthens our minimally invasive pain management portfolio with differentiated treatments and expands our reach across ambulatory surgery centers,” said Andy Pierce, Group President for Stryker’s (SYK) MedSurg and Neurotech units.
- The company didn’t disclose the financial terms of the deal but said that it would be subject to customary closing conditions.
