BRENTFORD MIDDLESEX, Britain (AP) _ GlaxoSmithKline PLC (GSK) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $1.91 billion.
The Brentford Middlesex, Britain-based company said it had net income of 77 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for restructuring costs and amortization costs, came to 95 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 83 cents per share.
The drug developer posted revenue of $11.57 billion in the period.
Glaxo shares have risen 18% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 15% in the last 12 months.
