特朗普似乎愿意将大麻合法化

  • Former President Donald Trump said Thursday that he is starting to believe that marijuana should be decriminalized given legalization in many states.
  • At a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., the Republican presidential nominee said, according to Marijuana Moment. "As we legalize it throughout the country — whether that's a good thing or a bad thing— it's awfully hard to have people all over the jails that are in jail right now for something that’s legal."
  • As a Florida resident, Trump will have the opportunity to vote on a proposed constitutional amendment that would legalize recreational marijuana in the state. He said he would soon address this issue. Gov. Ron DeSantis (Rep.) is again legalization.
  • As president, in 2018, Trump rescinded the Cole Memorandum, put into effect by former President Obama in 2013 that directed federal prosecutors not to pursue many marijuana offenses.
