天花检测试剂盒交易导致Virax股价上涨22%

- Shares of Virax Biolabs Group (NASDAQ:VRAX) shot up 22% Wednesday after the British company said it had signed a deal to distribute RT-PCR mpox virus detection kits under its brand name in Europe and the Middle East.
- Virax, which didn’t name the supplier, said the kits are CE-marked for sale in Europe and have been cleared by United Kingdom regulators.
- Under the deal, Virax is authorized to import, sell and distribute the kits in 13 European countries, including the U.K., France and Germany, along with members states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which includes Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, according to a statement.
- The World Health Organization recently declared mpox, also known as monkeypox, a public health emergency of international concern.
