莱德系统因Hedgeye的新卖空创意而走低

Ryder System (NYSE:R) fell 2% amid a new Hedgeye short idea, which sees potential for 50% downside. 

"We’re moving R to our top short slot, reflecting what we expect to be near-term macro, equipment, and sentiment headwinds," Hedgeye analyst Jay Van Sciver wrote in a note on Sunday.  "While truckload markets have stopped deteriorating, we think investors basing peak demand and activity on 2018 or 2021-2022 rates are likely to be disappointed by lingering excess capacity and pricing pressure.  Those periods benefited from non-recurring tailwinds."

Hedgeye's Van Sciver argues that Ryder (R) has "never been more richly valued by capital markets" and that consensus estimates for 2H24 and 2025 seem "disconnected from downcycle realities."  

Ryder's (R) short interest is 1.3%.
