独立房地产公司宣布发行1000万股股票后股价下跌

- Independence Realty Trust (NYSE:IRT) stock dipped 5.0% in Tuesday after-hours trading after the apartment REIT said it's starting a a public offering of 10M shares of common stock.
- The company also expects to enter a forward sale agreement with Citigroup (C) in relation to 10M shares of common stock and up to an additional 1.5M shares if the underwriters exercise their option to purchase additional shares in full.
- IRT expects to contribute any cash net proceeds it receives upon the future settlement of the forward sale agreements to IRT's operating partnership, Independence Realty Operating Partnership, in exchange for common units in IROP. Through IROP, Independence Realty (IRT) intends to use the net proceeds to fund potential acquisitions and other investment opportunities or for general corporate purposes.
