- Fortive Corp. (NYSE:FTV) rose 1.8% on a report that it's expected to spin off its industrial test and measurement business so it can focus on software and health care.
- The company is expected to announce as soon as Wednesday that it's separating the gauging unit into a public company, according to a Bloomberg report, which cited people familiar with the matter. The remaining company will be comprised of the Fortive's industrial software and health-care business.
